Although the DVLA are usually very, very strict about private registration plates they are willing to release, some naughty number plates sometimes sneak under the wire (although they are marked as such by the DVLA). Because there is millions of number plate registrations available on their online database there are often one or two risqué registrations to be had, especially slang terms that may not have made it into the mainstream as yet. Although it may not be everyone’s choice, many would jump at the chance of having a slightly daring number plate that they know is going to attract a lot of attention. So, if you’re looking to get a private number plate and want something a bit daring you could always choose from S6 SXY (for sexy), P8 RNY (porny), ORG 451M (for orgasm) or even PEN 131S (for penis).

The next DVLA Personalised Registrations auction will be held at Old Trafford in Manchester on the 24th March 2010. Among the 1,500 registrations on offer will be “2 OOO”, together with “9 O” and some special Manchester United-related plates (handy as Old Trafford is the home of the football team).
